“Buan” means to live, reside, dwell, occupy, to be — and at the same time, to build.
Who we are, therefore, is directly connected to how we inhabit and how we build. One could say that our identity shapes the way we appropriate space, the way we choose to dwell, and consequently, the way we build, structure, and design.
In our approach, architectural composition inherently includes inhabitation, understood as the appropriation of space — a space shaped by our experiences, dreams, desires, and needs.
The architectural firm Buān is based in Athens. It was founded in 2020 by architects Elisavet Kazerou and Nikolaos Konstantios.
